1 November 2009 - Olympia Women play first league game
First league game - against last year's champions. It is possible to have better luck with the fixture list. Olympia lined up with a strong team, and had just reward for it. Other than for two lapses in concentration, the team matched the opponents well and played evenly in terms of goals. However, Ruislip is too good a team to allow for losses of concentration, and it cost Olympia nine goals. Final score was 23-14 to Ruislip, and Olympia still has some work to do before next game. 25 October 2009 - Olympia Men kick off season with win
After a number of friendlies (without loss, but including a draw against Versailles) Olympia's men finally kicked off the domestic season. After succumbing to a draw against Ruislip in the last competitive game played against them, it was important to be strong and secure two points in this game. With a half-time score of 8-8 this seemed less likely, but Olympia eventually steered clear and won 17-14. First two points of the season on the board. Click here for a match report.

Facing professional opposition from Portugal, Montenegro and Macedonia over the three days, Olympia suffered some heavy defeats but played some very good handball (particularly against the Montenegrian home team). All of the team very much enjoyed the trip and want to extend our congratulations and thanks to RK Berane for a very welll organised tournament. We have already started the hard work of qualifying for another chance of European glory next year. Click here for match reports.

Olympia's women started off the new year with a disappointing loss against Great Dane (17-22). In the men's game, however, feelings were running high as the team battled to a convincing win (36-28) against Southampton University. This was also the last game for J. Roulland as he is moving back to France, and we wish him all the best.
